Esperanto-USA and Esperantic Studies Foundation are jointly offering use of the teleconferencing service Zoom to local Esperanto groups, free of charge.

Zoom is a paid service that is often more stable and offers better audio quality than free services like Skype and Google Hangouts. The purpose for offering this service is to encourage and facilitate building local and online Esperanto communities.

Groups can request a one-time use of Zoom; however, we encourage groups to have regular call times. To request use of Zoom, send email to chuck.mays@esperantic.org with the dates and times for your online meetings, a brief description of the meeting and who to contact about the meeting.

If the requested time does not conflict with an already scheduled meeting, the meeting will be scheduled and you will be sent a link to distribute to others. Unfortunately, only one Zoom meeting at a time is allowed, so coordination is required. Participants in this program are encouraged to publicize the online meeting, to invite guest speakers and to use Zoom to help new learners, etc. Regular meetings can be listed on the Esperanto-USA website in the section for local groups.
