You may have seen Esperanto-USA’s directory of local groups, which bring together speakers from different geographical regions. But did you know we also maintain a database of special-interest groups?

Each “SIG” is devoted to a particular topic. Currently, we have groups that focus on games (e.g. chess, role-playing), hobbies (e.g. ham radio), and lifestyles (e.g. veganism). What’s more, SIGs don’t have to maintain the same sort of strict neutrality that Esperanto-USA is sworn to, so they can be devoted to political or religious topics.

Check out the database and see if there’s something that interests you. We also welcome the creation of new SIGs. If you’d like to start one, please register your new group with the form on our main groups page.

SIGs sometimes provide updates about upcoming events with a blog, a mailing list, or some other means of sending out messages to interested parties. Links to these (if the SIG has them) can be found in the respective group listings.
