No suggestions other than for present incumbents, and no indepen- dent nominatttias were received* We have consulted with the Executive Committee of SANA, and with those Board members whose terms expire, and after due consideration, we submit the following names as candidates for the 1959 election: For President, PROF. JOHN M, BREWER, of Missouri School of Mines, Rolla, Mo» Prof• Brewer is present incumbent, and has served a» an ex- ample and supporter for good in SANA during the past years. For Vice-President, EULALIA MARKS, of San Juan, Puerto Rico. She is the present incumbent, and has been always ready to give her advice and assistance to the work of the Association during the past years- For General Secretary, G. ALAN CONNOR (present incumbent), who has given long years of service to EANA and who has constantly sought to maintain our Association on a high level of principle and performance, Signed: MARY MARRETT, Chairman, Nominating Committee of EANA. Rules of Board of Directors relating to EANA Elections Par. 5s Ballots containing the names of candidates and space for the names of any other persons for whom members may wish to vote shall be mailed to all members of the Association In good standing, not later than 45 days before the first day of the Congress.With the ballot shall be sent a small plain envelope and a second envelope to be addressed to the Auditor of the Association. Par.6: When the voter has marked his ballot it may be sealed in the small envelope, then inserted in the larger envelope on which the signa- ture of the member voting must be indicated, and mailed so as to reach the Auditor not later than 15 days before the first day of the Congress. Par.75 The Auditor, after verifying the voter's right to vote,shall deliver the sealed envelopes together with the names of the members vot- ing, to the presiding officer of the Congress, who shall appoint two tellers to count the votes. He declares those elected who have obtained a majority of the votes cast. If for any office or seat on the Board of Directors no candidate has obtained a majority, the Congress decides by simple majority which one of the two candidates with the highest number of votes Is to be declared elected.
