On June 4th, 2016, Stanford University hosted a local exam session of
the Worldwide Esperanto Exam Day. The participants joined the ranks
of more than 1500 Esperanto-speakers worldwide who have taken the
Council of Europe’s international foreign language exams (KER
). These exams
provide a certified language diploma, accepted officially throughout
Europe, in one of three levels: basic, intermediate & advanced.
Since 2008, Esperanto-speakers in more than 60 countries have
successfully passed the exam.
